Henan Open China Tour 3rd Round
After the 3rd round of the Henan Open China Tour I have shot a score of 69 (-3) to be 2 under total and T23rd.
Another calm day with cloud cover was had and the course was set out for the taking. I am feeling more and more comfort each day and starting to feel I can pull off tough shots around this long layout. A course where I can’t hit a par 5 in 2.
Starting off the back nine it was not long till I made my 1st birdie of the day coming on the 11th holing a 5m putt on the par 3. Greens hit at 12 and 13 chances fell away. 4 iron long with a yardage of 206m on the par 3 14th surprised me. Made up and down. Greens hit at 15, 16 and 17 all fell away again for birdie. Two of them being 4m away. Driver off the 18th went into the hazard still on land right, taking a drop I hit it to 10m for a chance making my only bogey of the day.
As I got onto the front nine I just needed to stick to my game plan and I executed every shot hitting every green. The two birdies came at 2 and my last hole of the day the 9th. I really could have holed a couple more on this side but another day moving up the leader board on moving day.
